Pottery Barn celebrates 25th anniversary of ‘Friends’

It’s been 25 years since we invited Monica, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross into our living rooms and got to know and love them as “Friends.”

To mark the anniversary, Pottery Barn, a member of the Williams-Sonoma portfolio of brands, together with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, has launched an exclusive collection of home décor and accessories that pay homage to the long-running hit sitcom.

The centerpiece of the Friends x Pottery Barn Collection pays tribute to the sitcom’s Pottery Barn-themed episode in season 6, aptly named “The One With The Apothecary Table.” In the episode, Rachel, played by Jennifer Aniston, purchases an Apothecary coffee table, with its antique-inspired hardware and drawers designed for CDs, from Pottery Barn but has to keep the source of the purchase a secret from her roommate Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), who hates mass-produced stores and items. She lies, saying the table came from a flea market.

The rerelease of the famous Apothecary Coffee Table still includes the vintage-looking hardware and plenty of drawers.

The new Friends x Pottery Barn Collection also includes designs inspired by memorable moments from iconic episodes, including Central Perk commuter mugs, trifle-printed tea towels, decorative pillows featuring Monica Geller’s iconic purple apartment door and the tufted orange Central Perk couch, while classic one-liners from the show, such as “You’re My Lobster” and “Joey Doesn’t Share Food,” adorn coffee mugs. Fans who have memorized the show’s opening credits will delight in the signature fountain scene and “I’ll Be There for You” wall art as well as a Welcome Friends doormat with the show’s logo.

“Friends is one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, and we are excited to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary with this spirited Friends-inspired collection for the home,” said Marta Benson, Pottery Barn president. “The Pottery Barn assortment is an ode to the enduring popularity of the show, its cast of characters and nostalgic references, and it gives ‘Friends’ fans yet another way to enjoy, relive and share their favorite moments.”

The Friends x Pottery Barn collection is now available at PotteryBarn.com.
