Woman made over her investment property herself with only Kmart products

A savvy mum has wowed the internet after styling her new investment property with Kmart decor rather than forking out a fortune for professionals to do it.

Posting in an Australian Kmart Facebook group she said that a company quoted her $7,000 for a six week campaign to style it in designer furniture and decor.

This wasn’t in the woman’s budget so she decided to do it all herself – and now she is renting the home out for $40 more a week than what agents estimated.

A mother has wowed the internet thanks to her ability to completely transform her investment property with products from Kmart, such as the Occasional Chair, the Sideboard Oak Look $39 and the Coffee Table Oak Look for $29

‘Between what I had from my last project at home in storage and a few dollars well spent at local budget homeware outlets, our designer home just became desirable to budget savvy renters,’ she said.

Although not everything has been bought from Kmart, 70 per cent of the items have, and the other products have been purchased from equally affordable stores.

Thousands of people have reacted to her post and it has received hundreds of supportive comments.

A lot of group members also asked the woman to reveal where some of the items were purchased or how they were created.
